In the name of film noir, you are changed.

I know its very late to be changing the name of my film noir, but i think i should do it before i organise the credits and start filming the second half of my OTS. Previously my film noir was called 'L'amour est Le tueur' which i couldn't even pronounce as it is obviously in French. In English it means, 'love is the killer'. I have decided it would be hard for my to demonstrate love in my film noir OTS, and i previously wanted my title to be in French as it sounds effective and sophisticated - giving a sense of mystery - the audience will wonder what it means. However i thought of this title before i did the storyboard, so i didn't know i was having dialogue in my film noir (there is dialogue when my male actor is in the telephone box). As my dialogue is going to be in the English language, it wouldn't make sense to have the title in French.

After a lot of thinking, and trying out different combinations of key words to use like: cheat, killer, murder, dial and quick..i have come up with various different titles like; 'cheated death' and 'stranger under spotlight' - that one wouldn't work because i might not end up having a spotlight in my OTS, so the titles wouldn't link with my film noir. But after multiple hours of deciding and then changing my mind, and then deciding again, i came up with: 'Cheat Me Until Death' - i think it doesn't give away too much about what the storyline will be. I also think the audience will question who is being cheated, and who is the cheat, and who dies.

I haven't changed the name on my concept board as i want to show my production and planning. From here on, my film noir OTS will be called this!

FONTS

I have also thought about the types of font i will use to write this title in. i would like something that will link to murder and to have a shadow behind it, for the creepy, dark effect. After researching, i came across a certain font i am interested in using:

The font is big and bold, and i would also like my writing to be straight, not slanted. I thought of the idea of having my title in red, as it would be a pop of colour to the black and white film. The title will also be in capitals so i really stands out, and gives the effect of shouting.

Linking back to audience

These changes haven't effected my target audience whatsoever. The font for my title could be aimed at anybody as they are not from this era, however, my font cant look too modern as i don't think i would be able to fool my young target audience.
